The Rotunda Geology Group is an active organisation closely associated with the Rotunda Museum in promoting the interests of geology in north east Yorkshire.

Our members include amateurs, academics and professionals and anyone with an interest in geology, whatever their age and background, is welcome to join. Non-members are welcome to attend lectures at a charge of £2-00 pp per lecture.

We run an indoor lecture programme with illustrated talks on a wide variety of topics given by geologists both from universities and industry

During the summer, we have monthly field trips, to local sites of interest.
